General
Is the estimate really free?
Yes. Estimates are free and there's no obligation to book. We'll explain what we recommend and why, and you decide what makes sense for your home.
Will cleaning make a mess in my home?
We work carefully to keep your home clean. We protect floors and the area around the work, and we tidy up before we leave.
How long does a typical appointment take?
It depends on the size of your home and the service. A dryer vent cleaning is usually fairly quick, while a whole-home air duct cleaning takes longer. We'll give you a time estimate when we confirm your appointment.
Do I need to be home during the service?
We ask that an adult be home at the start so we can walk through the job together, and at the end so we can show you what we found and what we did.
Do you work on commercial properties?
Yes. Our focus is homeowners, but we also help offices, rental properties, and other small commercial spaces across the Knoxville area. Call or send a request and tell us about your building.
What areas do you serve?
Farragut is our main service area. We also serve Knoxville, Maryville, Oak Ridge, Lenoir City, Loudon, Kingston, and Gatlinburg. Not sure if you're covered? Give us a call.
How do I schedule service?
Call us at (865) 315-5116 or fill out the free estimate form. We're available Sunday through Thursday from 9 AM to 8 PM and Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. We'll follow up to confirm details and find a time that works for you.
Air ducts & indoor air
How often should air ducts be cleaned?
Many homes benefit from a cleaning every three to five years. You may want it sooner if you've recently renovated, moved into a previously owned home, have pets that shed, or someone in the house has allergies or asthma. We're happy to take a look and give you an honest opinion.
Can dirty ducts affect allergies?
Ducts can collect dust, pet dander, and pollen that recirculate through your home. Cleaning removes that buildup, which many households with allergies appreciate.
Will duct cleaning lower my energy bills?
Clean ducts help air move more freely, which can help your system run more efficiently. Results vary by home, so we won't promise a specific savings amount.
Dryer vents
How do I know if my dryer vent needs cleaning?
Common signs include clothes taking longer than one cycle to dry, a dryer that feels very hot on the outside, a burning or musty smell in the laundry room, or lint collecting around the outside vent flap. Most households should have the vent cleaned about once a year.
Why is a clogged dryer vent dangerous?
Lint is highly flammable. When it builds up in the vent, heat has nowhere to go, which increases the risk of a dryer fire.
Chimneys & fireplaces
How often should my chimney be inspected or cleaned?
Fire-safety guidelines recommend a chimney inspection once a year, whether you use your fireplace often or rarely. Cleaning is done as needed, based on how much soot and creosote has built up.
What's the difference between a chimney cleaning and an inspection?
An inspection checks the condition of your chimney and looks for buildup, blockages, or damage. A cleaning removes soot and creosote. Many homeowners schedule both together.
I don't use my fireplace much. Do I still need an inspection?
Yes. Even unused chimneys can have blockages from nests, leaves, or debris, plus weather-related wear. An annual check is a good habit.
